Seniors at Chaska High School have the opportunity to make their senior year OUTSTANDING.
The Senior Project is an opportunity for any Chaska High School senior who is in good standing in terms of academics and behavior. Seniors can create a project that has meaning and depth, that challenges them and is of interest to them. There are four categories of projects: creative, academic, career and service. Seniors choosing to participate in the Senior Project will follow a ten-step process in their 8th period class, under the guidance of their 8th period teacher and a community mentor. Seniors will be released the last two weeks of school to devote their efforts full time to completing the project. A Senior Exhibition just before graduation will celebrate the accomplishments of the projects.
Seniors wishing to participate in the Senior Project must first submit a letter of intent that generally outlines their plan for their project. Seniors will be notified if their letter of intent is accepted and then will begin the ten-step process.
